🌟 Tiny Trip to the Planets

Hello, Little Explorer!

We look up. We see the night sky. It is dark and full of bright dots. Those dots are Planets. Let’s meet them together!

1. The Sun’s Warm Friends

  • Mercury – the closest planet. It is tiny, tiny, like a small stone. Whoosh! it runs fast around the Sun.
  • Venus – a bright, yellow‑gold ball. It shines like a golden smile.
  • Earth – our home! It is blue and green, with soft clouds. We live here, we laugh, we play.

Count with me: 1, 2, 3 planets so close to the Sun.

2. The Far‑away Giants

  • Mars – a red, dusty ball. It says “rock‑rock!”
  • Jupiter – the biggest! It is huge, huge, huge. Its big stripes go Swish, Swish.
  • Saturn – it wears a shiny ring. The ring goes Ring‑ring around it.

Count again: 4, 5, 6 big planets far away.

3. Little Blue and Cold

  • Uranus – a soft blue ball that spins on its side. It says “whooo‑whooo”.
  • Neptune – a deep blue ball far, far away. It sings “ding‑ding”.

Now we have 7 planets total!

🎨 Simple Activity – Planet Drawing

  1. Take a big piece of paper.
  2. Use crayons to draw a circle for each planet.
  3. Color Mercury gray, Venus yellow, Earth blue‑green, Mars red, Jupiter orange, Saturn yellow with a ring, Uranus light blue, Neptune dark blue.
  4. Say the planet name and a sound (whoosh, ring‑ring, ding) as you color.

Keep Looking Up!

The sky is a big, friendly playground. Every night you can point and say, “Hello, planet!” Keep asking questions, keep dreaming, and keep exploring the wonderful world above. 🌙

How Volcanoes Form

From Magma to Mountain

Volcanoes grow where tectonic plates collide or drift apart. Heat melts rock into light, buoyant magma that rises, cools, and hardens near the surface, building the cone layer by layer.
