What Is a Pattern?
A pattern is something that repeats the same way.
In music, a pattern can be a beat, a melody, or a rhythm that you hear over and over.
Clap and Count
- Clap Clap – Pause – Clap – Pause.
- Count “1, 2, 3, 4” while you clap.
- Keep the same order. You just made a musical pattern!
Make Your Own
Pick any three sounds: a drum beat, a whistle, or a snap.
Play them in the order Beat – Whistle – Snap.
Repeat the order many times.
Now you have created your own pattern that friends can hear and join.
