A cave is a big hole in the ground.
It is dark and cool inside.
Caves are made by water, wind, or rock falling.

Caves can be in many places.
Some are in mountains, some are under the sea, and some are in flat land.
You can see caves on maps.

Bats sleep in caves at night.
Spiders spin webs in the corners.
Some fish live in water caves.
Little insects crawl on the walls.

Bring a flashlight.
Never go alone.
Stay on the path and listen to an adult.
Do not touch rocks or animals.
