🔥 Stay Safe with Fire!

Introduction

Fire can be helpful, like when we bake cookies, but it can also be dangerous. Let’s learn how to stay safe and be a fire‑smart superhero!

1. What Is Fire?

  • Fire is hot light that can melt things.
  • It needs three things to keep burning: Heat, Fuel (something that can burn), and Air.
  • If we take away one of these, the fire goes out—just like blowing out a candle.

2. Safe Places at Home

  • Never Play With Matches Or Lighters. They belong to grown‑ups only.
  • Keep Candles away from curtains, toys, and pets.
  • If you see a Smoke Alarm, it will beep loudly. That means something might be wrong—listen and tell an adult right away.

3. If You See Fire

  1. Stop, Drop, And Roll – If your clothes catch fire, stop moving, drop to the floor, and roll back and forth to put out the flames.
  2. Get Out Quickly – Walk, don’t run. Stay low to the floor where the air is cleaner.
  3. Don’t Hide – Find a safe place outside where you can see the sky.

4. Calling for Help

  • Dial 911 (or your country’s emergency number) as soon as you are safe.
  • Say your name, where you are, and what happened.
  • Stay calm and wait for help.

Did You Know?

A Firefighter’s Hose can spray water as far as a school bus is long—about 40 feet! 🚒

Conclusion

You now have the superpowers to keep yourself and friends safe around fire. Keep practicing, ask grown‑ups to show you the fire alarm, and explore more ways to stay safe every day! 🌟

How Volcanoes Form

From Magma to Mountain

Volcanoes grow where tectonic plates collide or drift apart. Heat melts rock into light, buoyant magma that rises, cools, and hardens near the surface, building the cone layer by layer.
