❄️ Winter Safety for Little Explorers
Winter is a magical time with fluffy snow and sparkling ice. While we play, we also need to stay safe and warm. Let’s learn how to have fun and stay safe together!
1. Dress Like a Snow Hero
- Layer Up: wear a shirt, a sweater, and a warm coat.
- Hat & Gloves: keep your head and hands covered so they don’t get cold.
- Boots: choose shoes that are not slippery and keep your feet dry.
Why? Warm clothes are like a cozy blanket for your body, and they stop you from getting a cold.
2. Watch out for Ice
- Walk Like A Penguin: take small steps and keep your arms out for balance.
- Stay On The Path: stick to places where the snow is thick and the ice is hidden.
- Ask An Adult: if you’re not sure if the ground is safe, ask a grown‑up before you step.
3. Play Smart in the Snow
- Snowball Rules: make soft snowballs, never throw them at faces or windows.
- Build A Fort: use blocks of snow, but don’t dig deep holes that could collapse.
- Take Breaks: go inside to warm up and drink a cup of warm water or cocoa.
4. Keep Warm Inside
- Stay Dry: if your clothes get wet, change into dry ones right away.
- Stay Moving: wiggle your fingers and toes to keep the blood flowing.
- Tell A Grown‑up: if you feel very cold, shiver a lot, or your skin looks pale, tell an adult.
Did You Know?
🧊 Ice Can Be As Clear As A Window! When water freezes slowly, it makes clear ice that looks like glass. That’s why you can sometimes see fish swimming under a frozen pond.
Winter is a wonderful season for adventures. By dressing warm, watching the ice, playing safely, and staying cozy inside, you can explore the snowy world with confidence. Grab your hat, call a friend, and go discover the frosty fun—safely! 🌨️
