Automation Basics

What Is Automation?

Automation means letting machines do work by themselves. Instead of a person pressing a button many times, a machine can repeat the task on its own. It follows rules that people set for it.

How Machines Follow Instructions

Machines use computer programs. A program is a list of simple steps, like a recipe. The machine reads each step, does what it says, and then moves to the next step. If the steps are clear, the machine works the same way every time.

Everyday Examples

  • Robots In Factories put together toys or cars without tiring.
  • Washing Machines know when to fill with water, spin, and stop.
  • Traffic Lights change colors at the right times to keep cars moving safely.

Automation helps us finish boring or hard jobs faster. It also lets people spend more time on creative things, like drawing or building new ideas.

How Volcanoes Form

From Magma to Mountain

Volcanoes grow where tectonic plates collide or drift apart. Heat melts rock into light, buoyant magma that rises, cools, and hardens near the surface, building the cone layer by layer.
